50 Random Facts About Me

Ok, who remembers those fun questionnaires girls used to write in middle school? I can't be the only one who loved giving answers to hundreds of silly and random questions :) That's why this tag takes me back in time. How well do you know a person behind the blog? I am confident and happy to say that if you have been following Miel and Mint for a while, you know me quite well. You might not know what subject I loved at school (it was English and History, by the way) but you know what kind of a person I am. When my lovely blogger babe Kay of Shoes and Glitter blog tagged me in her post "50 Facts About Me" I knew it would be a fun one to do. I am sorry I put it off for a while but I guess it's better late than never :) Make sure to follow Kay (her blog is amazing!) and click to "view more" to learn a few (well, 50!) very random facts about yours truly.

This photo was taken 4 years ago on a Saturday afternoon (yes, I totally remember that).
It was freezing (even though it was mid-March) but I thought it was OK to wear a T-shirt for a photo shoot (never again).
Flu followed the very next day. Was it worth it? Yes! - Killer lashes & fab hair colour day MUST be captured! :)
So I planned I will write an introduction paragraph here but then I thought you were just about to read FIFTY (!!!) very random facts about me. It will be more than enough text to absorb. Without further ado, let's dive in.

  15. I LOVED this post Nadia, I always love getting to know a blogger better and I must say, this is one of my favourite posts of yours :). And I now know how alike we are, urm girl, planners are incredible, I am way to overly obsessed with them, they're the best! I practically live in my jeans too, they're just so versatile and practically go with anything. It's also so incredible at how many places you've travelled too and have lived in, your starting to give me the travel blues haha. And I love the sea, its just to soothing and calming. Also, I like yourself know way too much about healthcare than I dare to imagine, it kind of sucks but my mum wasn't too well recently, and lets just say even though we got a formal diagnosis, googling about healthcare became an unhealthy 'thing'. And lastly, I am so so so in awe of your marriage, honestly, if I could have half as much as what you and your husband have, I would be the most happiest person and always will look to you guys as an inspiration. Hope he and your lovely grandmother are well, before I really do end up completing an unintentional essay haha I want to round up by saying, your are an incredibly amazing person inside and out and your beautiful personality is something I admire and am trying to adopt. Thank you for creating this blog and you look so pretty and beautiful in your wedding picture ♥

I hope your mum feels better soon, sweetie. Sometimes it's better not to google anything not to give you extra scare!
You can't imagine how warm and fuzzy it felt reading your comment about my relationship and marriage awwwww. You will be super super happy when you find your person, hon. I think that's the key. It's not about marriage itself or any kind of statuses or other people's opinions. Once you know this is the right person for you and you love them unconditionally (and they love you back the same, of course), it just clicks :) And I am sure you will have that and can't wait to see a picture from your wedding when the day comes, hon ;)

Haha, onions are just not good at all. Surprisingly though - I like French onion soup O.o (probably because it's not crunchy and it doesn't taste like onion lol).

  19. Thank you for sharing this with us! It was punk rock for me too! Good Charlotte was an addiction! I'm obsessed with anything grey when I go shopping too. That's funny what you said about your accent. I don't have the normal accent for around my area as most people have the southern 'farmer' twang which I never developed. Snap on the living in jeans! What was your business before you moved? I'd love to know! I'm a night owl too and don't like onion! Well I can eat it if it's cooked, chopped up tiny and mixed in with something so I don't know it's there lol. Can't agree with you on the chocolate choice though! Ha ha. And! I never knew you didn't drink! I don't smoke or drink either, and usually people think I'm insane for not drinking and ask me what I do for fun, like that's the only thing lol. It's nice to meet another young person who doesn't! We have way more in common than I thought! What's your choices for not drinking? And now I'm happy I just learned your blog is actually called honey and mint, I had no idea all this time!

To answer your question without making it into an essay on its own: I believe alcohol is really bad for you in so many ways: health-wise it's practically a "poison" to our bodies, and mind-wise it's something that makes people lose control in one way or another. I think the moment a person loses control over their words and actions there's a big chance to go down the wrong route and face horrible consequences.
So yeah. I have had THE MOST FUN IN MY LIFE without a drop of alcohol. It's important to surround yourself with people who feel the same way. Hope that answers it, hon <3 What are your thoughts & reasons?

Whenever we do meet, which I hope one day we will - we're going out for sushi!:-). Where I live sushi is so so popular that you can find a sushi restaurant literally on every corner , just like a Starbucks lol. Fluent in 3 languages and understand 7 more?! I love that you taught languages and even more impressed that you can speak and understand so many. I can only understand and barely speak Spanish. I love the meaning of your name...it fits your beautiful spirit so perfectly. Thank you for sharing!
