Why It's {Sometimes} OK To Be A "Bad Blogger"

Why it's OK to be a bad blogger, Why it's important to take a break from social media
It's been almost a month. I honestly can't believe it. I think this has to be the longest break I've ever taken from blogging. And this time wasn't quite the walk in the park. I will be completely honest - it was a tough month. Thankfully, I got the silver lining as a result of the whole experience and couldn't be more thankful about the outcome and improvements. Howbeit, I've been a bad blogger. I do want to say a MASSIVE SORRY for not being fully present, but at the same time I don't want to make a BIG COMEBACK out of this post (I am so thrilled to write again!). I just want you to know that it is 100% OK to be a "bad blogger" and here is why

I need a holiday. I am sure most of you are nodding away or saying "YES, please" at this stage. If you're not prepared to travel too far or if you're not sure where to go for a blissful beach getaway this summer, here is my travel guide to 5 stunning destinations in 5 different countries you will enjoy to the max. Pack your suitcases, don't forget the sunscreen and your passport... and we're off!

The Body Shop New Expert Facial Masks & Why You Need To Try Them

The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask and Amazonian Acai Energising Radiance Mask Review
There are two simple facts about me that never change when it comes to skincare. 1 - I like to experiment and 2 - I'm not that easily swayed to hop on the bandwagon as soon as something new comes out. To be frank, my "experiments" end up being quite disappointing from time to time. But never with The Body Shop. That's why, when they launched a new range of masks, my inner "hold your horses" voice tried to stop me (but failed - yay!). So on my birthday I made it a little mission to pop into my local The Body Shop, use my birthday discount (£5 off) and put these masks to test to see if they are really hype-worthy. Here's how it went down.

How To Brighten Up Someone's Day Ft. Molton Brown The Orange & Bergamot Hand Collection

Molton Brown Orange & Bergamot Hand Collection
For a few days I was toying with the idea for this post. Something didn't sound / feel right. The concept of putting together a "How To Brighten Up Your Day" advice article seemed great and, don't get me wrong, I am all for practicing self-care. At the same time, I knew it needed tweaking. Plot twist came in the simplest form - change "your" to "someone's". Ta-da! Without a shadow of a doubt, it's (always!) essential to look after yourself. By doing so you will be able to take care of those you love better. But let me ask you this: doesn't it make you feel on-top-of-the-world-happy when you do what might seem like a teeny-tiny little thing which, as a result, brightens up someone's day in a huge way? That's why when my very-much-loved brand Molton Brown sent me this beautiful Orange & Bergamot Hand Collection*, not only did it make my day but I also knew I would put it to good use by writing a post which would, hopefully, help you to help others.

April Favourites | 2017 & Birthday Giveaway

April Favourites
Don't even get me started on how in the world it's already May. I may be biased (because I am a "May baby") but it is one of my favourite months of the year. It's that "transition" time between spring and summer when the winter is 100% behind us and everything is bright, blossoming and greener than ever (am I the only person who goes on repeat about how green everything is?). On a different note, I decided to look back at my April Favourites from twenty 06 and saw the history repeat itself. March Favourites never happened last year and they got "skipped" this year too. Maybe March is just not the best blogging month (for me). I have no idea. Also, these involuntary breaks I had to take got me down big time because it's never my intention to put something I love and enjoy so much on the backseat. So here is where May makes an entrance and, ultimately, every tiny and big issue gets sorted out. Including my content schedule which is, by the way, looking smashing! Coming back with a bang celebrating my birthday with a lovely giveaway attached to this post. Enjoy!

6 Unique Spa Treatments That Are Worth Trying

6 unique spa treatments that are worth trying
I will start this post by confessing that my very first spa visit happened only 4 years ago. Also, it included one of the treatments I will talk about below, which was, by the way, out of this world. While I would also love to tell you I am a frequent goer (who would not want to be one?!), a spa visit is more of a treat than a part of my "everyday routine". At the same time, I am an ambassador and supporter of all things pampering and treating yourself whenever you can. We all need it. We all deserve it. And since spa treatments have expanded beyond a head/back/neck massage, I thought it would be a great idea to single out 6 unique spa treatments that are worth trying (at least once in your life). Warning: you might want to book one of these ASAP if it's available in your area. I can't blame you. I am about to do the same. Grab a cuppa and let's have some chill out time.

What To Do When You Fall Out Of Love With Your Home

I've always been a home-loving person. Even when I was a teenager (and my friends would be out every night), I would find staying at home a lot more fun. Maybe it was due to the fact that I never was a "wild child" or maybe I simply really loved the cosiness of the home where I grew up. It was tiny but it was everything I needed. I know this might sound too mushy but love lived there (still does), and it's enough. Since leaving my parents' house, I've moved 5 times. Some places were great, some were far from ideal. I think, no matter where you live, you have most likely thought about a better place/location/room/lighting/space and whatnot. We all sometimes fall out of love with our homes. The good news is it's possible (and doable!) to make your home a place you feel the most comfortable in,where you enjoy spending time and just love to pieces.

My Spring Makeup Essentials | 2017

Spring Makeup Essentials
It's not a secret that in my books the spring rolled in on the 1st of March. Once March starts, it's springtime (and no, it doesn't matter that there is snow or rain outside). Not only do we switch up our wardrobe essentials and have long tearful goodbyes with our blanket scarves, spring means it's about time to jazz up our makeup bag contents. Even though there are items in my stash that I am loving all year round, I do make a few important changes as soon as we are finished with winter. Let me show you what stays and what goes, and share my personal goof-proof picks for sunny spring makeup. Here's the hoping the sunshine is here to stay.

When Life Gives You Lemons... or How To Stay Positive X Kurt Geiger

Kurt Geiger Violet Horizontal Tote Ray Ban Aviator Sunglasses ZARA bell sleeve sweater What to do when life gives you lemons
I am usually a pretty positive person. I always manage to find a way to see the sunshine through dark and heavy clouds (after the initial shock of being given "lemons" wears off). At the same time, I've always been a bit of a worrier. I mean, it's kind of a given since life can sometimes get unpredictable and it might not reflect what we want. But, thankfully, it perfectly reflects what God wants, and that's enough

So when lovely people from Kurt Geiger* got in touch with me about their spankin' gorgeous new spring bag collection, I was doing the happy dance but also - I had no idea what the theme of this post was going to be. It's not my cup of tea to share fashion photos and write 1000+ words dedicated to an outfit. I am wordy as you know but not that wordy. I wanted this article to be aesthetically pleasing AND helpful for those of you who need a little pick-me-up and got a bowl full of "lemons". I'm sure you got water and sugar at home, so let's make some lemonade and gush over this beauty of this bag together because #itssopretty

Nevertheless, month no.2 of 2017 was really great when it came to making memories, going on adventures and having fun while doing all that. Let me take you down the memory lane.

Why We Lose Our Mojo & How To Get It Back

How to get your mojo back
I am the first one to raise my hand and "plead guilty". Blogging hasn't been my top priority for the last couple of weeks (and, let's be honest, it's inexcusable). I couldn't even give you one solid reason why it happened. It simply did. I lost my blogging mojo. 99% of bloggers would nod along because they've been there. Though, even if you are not a blogger, but a visionary individual whose creative juices just don't seem to flow as usual, this post might be exactly what you've been looking for. It could also come in handy if you are a busy bee, a business owner or a jack of all trades who seems to be feeling "stuck". If you seem to have lost that zeal and passion for things you love, can't find time for anything or struggle to produce the minimum work, it's time to do something about it. The great thing about losing mojo is that it doesn't happen that often (not in my case - thankfully!) and the fact that it DOES come back. I love blogging too much to let my off days take over. So why do we lose our mojo (blogging and non-blogging) and how to get it back?

Dubai Diaries | 10 Reasons Why I Will Visit Dubai Again - Part 1

Dubai Marina at sunset
There is a beautiful quote which goes, "So much of who we are is where we have been". Being a person who has lived in 3 different countries (and traveled to a few more), I can vouch for that on many different levels. When we travel, we expand our knowledge and change our perception of the world and other cultures. We get out of the shell and see how diverse the world actually is. We get to see beautiful places, meet lovely people with fascinating backgrounds and experience things we never came across at home. That's why, when it comes to the unique destination like Dubai, there's no doubt, even the pickiest of travelers would find something they'd love about it. Personally, I loved it SO MUCH that my Dubai Diaries post had to come in 2 parts. Because a) there's just that much to show and tell and b) it's one special city and it deserves more than one blog post. Hope you are comfortable with the photo overload situation. No matter how much you try to narrow it down to a few, it's not easy. But I am more than sure it will not be too sore to look at ;) On top of that, I am sharing useful tips at the end of each category that should come in handy if you're planning to visit Dubai one day.

7 Exciting Things To Do On Valentine's Day Whether You're Single Or Not

7 Things To Do On Valentine's Day Whether You're Single Or Not
It's that time of the year again. Probably, one of the most controversial days when you either read "10 reasons I love" or "10 reasons I hate Valentine's Day for" blog posts, tweets and Facebook updates. No matter what side of the barricade or camp you belong to, remember to be kind. February 15th will roll in very quickly but the hurt feelings and the echo of the bitter words, said the day before, could linger on for weeks, if not months. Whether you love it or hate it, whether you are in a happy relationship or you're happily single, I decided to put together 7 (exciting) ways you can show love to someone you think the world of. It doesn't matter if it's going to be on Tuesday or two weekends after. Be considerate, show compassion, spread love and read on to learn about a few more ways of how to do it.

January Favourites | 2017

January Favourites 2017
January. I had a bit of a roller coaster relationship with January. As much as it's supposed to be that I-am-easing-into-everything-after-the-holidays type of a month, it was quite the opposite. Full on rush (I need to learn to make my to-do lists shorter!), full on gloom (sunshine, please, come back to the UK!) and full on almost 95% offline mode (can't complain about that as it can be refreshing). BUT, we can now officially start the countdown to spring (YAY!). Nevertheless, January was aahhhhmazing when it comes to favourites so there will be many exciting and different things in this post. Get into the time machine with me ;)

US Sephora Haul | First Impressions + Giveaway

Sephora Haul
Traveling to foreign countries is an incredible experience. Even when it includes zero shopping. It's pretty awesome on its own. But if you live in a country where there's no Sephora, it's an absolute must to pay a visit there when you're abroad. It's funny how now, long before I even spot Sephora in the shopping mall (my indoor navigation skills are just as terrible as my outdoor ones), my hubby is pointing it to me saying "Go. I will wait here. Take your time" (he's a keeper). This exact scenario happened when we went to the US last month. I didn't get much this time but I did pick up a few things I knew I would love and a few new products that would be fun to "test". I also got a special little something to include into this post as a giveaway because I'd love for one of you to have it and enjoy it as much as I have. Without further ado, let's dive into all things Sephora beauty.

5 Tips To Plan A Perfect Weekend Getaway

5 Tips To Plan A Perfect Weekend Getaway
January can be quite a sluggish month. Yes, we've just turned over a new leaf aka 2017 which means it's high time to get cracking and start ticking off those to-do's and goals off your list. Well, guess what? It's perfectly fine if that hasn't happened to you yet or that you've already broken half of your resolutions. Ease that pressure on yourself. It's a massive challenge on its own to dive head first into the routine after the holiday season. To be honest, it has been tough for me to do the most elementary things on certain days (hello, motivation?). I tried to crack the code as to what is wrong with January but Google would be able to tell you more about the "winter blues". There's one thing I know that works 100% without an error when it comes to surviving the "post-festive winter" - a perfect escape. Planning for it can be a daunting experience so I decided to share these 5 easy-breezy tips to help you organise that much needed getaway

Goodbye 2016, Hello 2017

Goodbye 2016, Hello 2017, 2017 Goals
There are basically two types of people in the world. Those who dunk their biscuits into the tea and those who eat them the right way (just kidding!). Same applies to resolutions. There are those who swear off setting any kind of plans/goals/aspirations while the rest of the world is on a mission to change their lives once the new year rolls in. I definitely belong to the goal-setting portion of people but comes 2017 I realized I have been doing so many things wrong when it came to actually STICKING to those plans. This year I am going to work on changing the way I view my goals and start taking baby steps towards those summits I want to achieve. It's true that 2k16 was a tough one. Nevertheless, it's great to look back and find the good in it, get those valuable lessons on board and step into the new year stronger and happier than ever.  So here are my reflections of 2016 and goals for 2017.
