Currently Craving: Beauty & Fashion Wishlist | April 2016

Currently Craving - April 2016 - Beauty and fashion

I’ve been thinking of putting together a wishlist a while ago. Call it the perfect timing but now that the weather is changing to better (meaning I am waking up from the winter hibernation and recognizing there are other colours but black), I have an awakened craving for new clothes. So after lots of browsing on my beloved ASOS I saved a number of gorgeous items I’d love to share with you and happily add to my wardrobe. If you love tulle skirts as much as I do, you’d appreciate this one 😉 Apart from that, there is also a craving for make up and skin care goodies. It’s a constant one, if I’m 100% honest (which I am). Besides, I don’t know if I ever mentioned that but my makeup collection can barely be called a “collection”. I am happy about it in a way because I don’t like to waste money, buy 10 foundations and end up using 1 or 2 with other 8 stored away in a drawer. Same goes for creams, scrubs and all the range of skin-perfecting “potions”. I love shopping, don’t get me wrong. However, I do know how and when to stop reminding myself that I have to finish at least one item to replace it with another. Keeping that in mind, I’d love to add a few new bits and pieces to my “stash”. Ok, there is one exception – lipsticks. Alright, maybe also nail polishes. If I spend more time writing this intro, I am sure I will be able to list other things I do have in many shades and variations 🙂 So let’s just dive into my April 2016 Beauty & Fashion Wishlist. NB: This is not a sponsored post.

It would be an understatement to say that it took me ages to put these collages together because it took that long to create a list of the products and clothes I am truly in love with or would love to try/have. Having made a few wishlists and gift ideas posts before, this is my first Currently Craving – and I know it won’t be the last one. Without much chit chat, let’s just enjoy all these gorgeous items, I’m sure, any of us wouldn’t say no to 🙂

Make Up

(1) Spectrum make up brushes “Attention Seeker”: when I first spotted these cute brushes, shared by one of the bloggers on Twitter, I knew they were definitely going on my wishlist. Not only they come as a bargain but they are also so pretty to look at that I almost don’t care if they are very good (of course I do but you know what I mean) 🙂
(2) UD Naked Skin Concealer: I’ve heard so many great things about this concealer that trying it sounds pretty much like a must. It sounds like this product is doing a fab job at hiding imperfections and, let’s face it, that’s key.
(3) Cheek Pop by Clinique: another product I’ve heard a number of beauty gurus raving about. Even though the price might be high, you don’t need to apply too much of it as it’s very pigmented so this blush would last for ages.
(4) Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in Penelope Pink: can we please just stop for a moment and appreciate how gorgeous is this shade! I’m in absolute love with it! It reminds me of one of the beautiful nude shades of Kylie lip kits.
(5) Make Up For Ever HD Foundation: well, I did try it before but I got the wrong shade and it threw me off (back then I didn’t even think of mixing it with a darker foundation #silly). Now I want to try it again. This time – properly!
(6) Lorac Pro Palette: as much I want a Naked palette oh-so-much, I had to shake things up and include a Lorac palette instead. Hearing Victoria from InTheFrow say it’s the best palette ever, I am convinced and I’m in.
(7) Full Fat Lashes by Charlotte Tilbury: I do have a favourite mascara but this particular one caught my eye a while ago. Many say it’s the best one out there among other high-end products. No clumping? Yes, please.
(8) Fluidline Eye Pencil by MAC: even though I prefer an eyeliner, branching out might be good if what I get is a creamy and pigmented eye pencil. It’s got mixed reviews but it’s worth trying for yourself. Atomic Ore looks fab.

Skin Care

(1) Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturizer by The Body Shop: the brand doesn’t need an introduction and I love it with a passion. So whenever I saw they released a new cream for “dull, tired, grumpy skin”, I was doing the happy dance!
(2) Super Restorative Remodelling Serum by Clarins: another brand I adore and another product that is a bestseller. This serum is from their anti-ageing collection but hey, better start early and time will tell how well it’s done.
(3) Divine Light Cream with SPF 20 by L’Occitane: radiant complexion, nourished skin, evened-out tone and broad spectrum sunscreen in one little bottle. It’s pricey but I do believe it would live up to my expectations.
(4) Avene Rich Compensating Cream: apparently, it is perfect for dry, sensitive, flaky and acne-prone skin, and even though I normally have oily skin, winter strips it off all the moisture. This moisturizer sounds lovely!
(5) 3 Little Wonders by Ole Henriksen: now that’s a product (3in1) I have craved since the very first time I saw a fine line under my eyes (haha)! Late 20s require extra care if I want to look like Jen Aniston or J Lo when I’m their age 🙂
(6) Active Charcoal Mask by Origins: no intro needed with Origins and its absolute hit! I wouldn’t say no to having my pores open, cleansed and eliminated so this one sounds like a must-try. I like the promise of perfectly pure skin.
(7) Citron, Honey & Coriander Hand Cream by Crabtree & Evelyn: if you have read my reviews of the most amazing shower gel and nail polishes and hand cream by C&E, you already know how much I love the brand! I definitely want to branch out and try different collections, including Citron, Honey & Coriander one – it sounds sooo good!
(8) Take The Day Off Make Up Remover by Clinique: this one gets the best reviews as the best eye make up remover. I’m sure it does a fab job at removing all traces of the day and I can’t wait to give it a go.

Can you blame me if I tell you that I could spend hours browsing through pages and pages on ASOS? I knew you would understand 😉 Having said that, I decided to put together the pieces and outfits I absolutely adore!

If my momma was reading this now, she wouldn’t believe her eyes. As much as she tried to make me like anything classy looking (suits and blouses, in particular), her teenager daughter was into ripped jeans and graphic tees. I get it now, mom 🙂 I’m head over heels for the tailored blazers and pants like these two numbers in shades cornflower blue (1) and ivory (3) – they are so calling my name. Also, how fun is that print on a stripy-painted blouse (2) – it’s out of stock atm but I’m keeping my eyes peeled for it. Another big yes goes to that bomber jacket by Diesel (6) for the times when I want a bit of an edge. And finally, jumpsuits… Something my hubby cannot stand (haha) and I can’t get enough of if they are as stunning as this gorgeous off-shoulder (4) and the cut out back one (5). I’m in awe.

The fashion part of the wishlist wouldn’t be complete without a perfect spring/summer skirt. Especially if it’s a tulle one (can’t even start telling you how much I love tulle skirts)! One of my favourite pieces among these 6 would have to be this stunning light blue mini tulle skirt (4). It’s loose-fit with a stretchy waist and it’s so adorable. Same goes for the grey midi tulle skirt (5) which would make a massive statement in my wardrobe. Another variation of a tulle skirt (you can clearly see my obsession now) is this fabulous rose applique ivory skirt in cream (1). So many ways to wear them, either dressed up or down. Also, who doesn’t love a nice pleated skirt (I bought one yesterday, yay!). What if it’s this lovely colourblock one in the most pretty and very spring’y shades (3)? It’s so lovely. My last midi in this wishlist is a knitted one by RI with a fab 70s geo stripy print (6) – love that this is bodycon which means it’s time to put that cookie down, Nadia. And last but not least, a playful colourblock mini with the front zip (2). I don’t wear mini skirts at all but this cute number would be perfect on a holiday paired up with a simple white tee. Absolutely love these!

Hope you enjoyed this post and my current wishlist of all things beauty and fashion.

There are million more things I’d love to include but I guess that would have to wait

to my next Currently Craving post.
