How is it this time of the year again? It feels like it should be March now but here we are, in chapter 11 out of 12 of twenty eighteen.
The moment clocks hit 12:01 of November 01st, most of the world switched from Halloween to Christmas in a heartbeat.
Not sure what it is but I am getting into the festive mood big time this year.
So a few days ago when I was watching my first Christmas movies and sipping coffee from a signature red cup, I decided it was time to do some research about one of my favourite things about December (apart from actual Christmas): advent calendars!
I love advent calendars.
But here’s a thing.
I’m excited about the contents I’m getting but what I love even more is the suspense of opening a little door every day in December.
This year a lot of amazing brands and businesses have released SO MANY exciting beauty advent calendars.
It wasn’t easy to pick out only 10 and also find more “affordable” options (£80 and below). I feel like I can only recommend you what I myself would be able to afford and enjoy to the fullest.
I picked out the brands I love and trust. They never produce a disappointing advent calendar. Tried and tested.
You can see it for yourself.
Best 10 Beauty Advent Calendars Under £80
You might think it was quite easy to pick 10 advent calendars under £80 but oh boy, as I searched and researched, and the list just kept on growing.
Until it reached 24.
24 VERY exciting beauty advent calendars. All £80 or below the £80 mark.
Let me show you my absolute 10 favourite ones. (It wasn’t a breezy little task. I had to be ruthless.)
1. LookFantastic Advent Calendar (£79).
I got a LookFantastic beauty advent calendar last year and it was amazing! I couldn’t recommend it more.
This year’s one is filled with goodies that cost whooping £300+ (!!!) but by getting an advent calendar you’re snatching an incredible bargain by paying only £79.
In the mix of brands you will get to try, you will find Glam Glow, Omorovicza, Illamasqua, Sleek and many others.
Spoiler alert: click here if you’d like to see the detailed list all of the products you will get in this advent calendar.
LookFantastic offer free worldwide delivery (standard shipping) so it’s a must to get this beautiful calendar no matter where in the world you are.
2. The Body Shop 25 Days of the Enchanted Deluxe Advent Calendar (£65).
The Body Shop have spoiled us so much this year releasing not one, not two, but three (!) advent calendars.
Two of them fit the budget of under £80 (£65 & £ 45). I personally love the Enchanted Deluxe Advent Calendar as it includes 25 days, has quite a few of full-size products (e.g., body butter, face mist, etc.) and all goodies come up to £121 in value while you’re paying only £65.
I love the designs TBS came up with this year, like this cute Dani the Deer (there’s also Olivia the Owl and Freddie the Fox).
After you’ve opened each little door, your empty boxes transform into pictures of whimsical woodland creatures. Kudos to The Body Shop design team!
3. ASOS Face + Body Advent Calendar (£55).
ASOS delivered it BIG TIME this year.
Not only is this advent calendar packed with high-quality face and bodycare products such as face masks, body lotions and other indulgent treats, but it also features some big names.
It includes surprises from Bobbi Brown, MAC, Benefit, GLAMGLOW and many others!
I am definitely very excited about it this year!
4. L’Occitane Advent Calendar (£49).
This advent calendar is definitely one of my absolute favourites this year when it comes to the design of the box. It’s beautiful, isn’t it?
L’Occitane isn’t just offering us a stunning advent calendar this year. They are teaming up with UNICEF and helping raise funds to assist in the fight against preventable childhood blindness.
For every Signature Advent Calendar sold in the US and Canada, L’Occitane will donate $2 to UNICEF.
Fashion house CASTELBAJAC Paris did the illustration work, L’Occitane filled the box with high-quality deluxe staples, and the rest is history.
5. Bare Minerals Out Of This World Advent Calendar (£79).
I know I said it above but I might say it again.
Something tells me that Bare Minerals might be one of my absolute front-runners among the beauty advent calendars this year.
It is worth whooping £281 (while you’d be splashing only £79) and it’s PACKED. It’s packed to the brim with their bestsellers (just look at those eye shadows and lip products!).
Out of This World is a splurge but hey, it’s out of this world (pun intended).
6. Rituals… 24 Days of Merry Advent Calendar (£59.50).
Now, this a real treat.
Imagine opening a little window every day in December leading up to Christmas and discovering luxurious products that will make you feel like you’ve got a spa at home.
I can feel the stress melting away as I am typing this.
Little face, hair and body care indulgences + 4 special advent candles will leave you feeling pampered and relaxed.
And isn’t that what we all need in December during the busiest time of the year?
7. Clarins 12 Days of Christmas Advent Calendar (£60).
Even though this Clarins advent calendar is only for 12 days, it is still an amazing treat either for yourself or someone in your life who appreciates great skincare.
Full size versions of these goodies cost between £26 and £30 so even getting their travel size it’s definitely a great bargain! (SOS Primer comes in full size!)
The packaging of the box is lovely and very neat and opening those little doors would be a delight every single day. If you’re looking for a way to spoil men in your life, Clarins have also created an advent calendar For Him.
Clarins USA treated their customers to a 24-day advent calendar ($100, picture above) full of bestsellers and favourites, including 3 full size products, i.e. Beauty Flash Balm which costs $48 on its own. What a box!
8. The 12 Days of Liz Earle Advent Calendar (£80).
I wouldn’t normally even consider a 12-day advent calendar (gimme 25!) but this one breaks that rule of mine on the spot.
It’s Liz Earle.
The goodies you get in this box are worth it! Plus, you save over £8.
It might not seem like a lot but having a stash of high-quality skincare at your disposal for the next 2-3 months sounds very persuasive. Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser is my go-to staple product every morning and every evening.
I have done a full review of it here.
9. Ciaté London 20 Mini Mani Month Advent Calendar (£50).
Just couple of days ago I was going through my nail polish collection and realized it needs to be updated BADLY.
If you’re anything like me and you have 10-20+ old and dry polishes, maybe it’s time to be out with the old and in with the new. What better way to do that than get your hands on this stunning 20-door festive Ciaté nail polish collection.
So many unique shades & the quality is beyond amazing!
Do you have a favourite Ciaté nail polish?
10. Revolution Advent Calendar (£30).
Last but definitely not least is the advent calendar from a well-loved Revolution (formerly known as Make Up Revolution).
In the advent calendar you are getting Revo’s absolute bestsellers.
It’s filled to the brim with everyone’s favourite highlighters, lip products and even includes the forever-sold-out Re-loaded eyeshadow palette.
You’d be getting makeup staples and a set of brushes to add to your collection (no one can ever have too many brushes, right?).
Currently £25 (instead of £50) at Superdrug UK.
